Wave Arena
Team survival against 25 waves of monsters - Hallow Mines, its bosses, kits, coins, missions and rewards.
The Wave Arena is a team survival minigame. A group of players chooses a kit and fights off waves of monsters together, completing missions between waves, facing lieutenant bosses along the way and a final boss at the last wave. It opens as part of the minigame rotation. The current arena is Hallow Mines.

#Hallow Mines
The lamps never went out. The miners never came up.
The Marrow Creek mine was sealed the night of the collapse, and every lamp on its beams was left burning. Each night the lamps flare and the old crews climb back out of the dark, still working a shift that never ended. The team must hold the tunnels until the lamps go out, while the Mine Keeper waits at the bottom.
#Bosses
| Wave | Boss | |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | The Tunnel Digger | Slams the ground and brings the roof down on anyone who stands still. |
| 15 | Glow-Bite Swarm Leader | A blinding flash and a brood in the dark, acid sprayed in an arc, and a web that reels players in. |
| 20 | Unstable Detonator | A boiler on iron legs. Steam blasts away anyone close, a mortar lobs dynamite, and it overloads when nearly beaten. |
| 25 | The Mine Keeper | An ancient construct of runed stone with two rocket fists. Halfway through the fight its fists break into orbiting scrap that shields it, and mine gas fills the floor: players must stay off the ground and shoot the scrap down. |
#Missions
Between waves the team is given jobs to do in the mine:
- Relight the Lantern: stand in the ring while a dead lantern flares back to life.
- Dig Out the Crew: reach miners trapped behind a cave-in and dig them out.
- Haul the Ore: gather the coal crates before the shift whistle.
- Hold the Lift: keep the mine lift running until it reaches the surface.
- Ring the Shift Bells: stand by each bell until it tolls.
- Snuff the Soul Fires: stand on each cold blue fire until it goes out; they keep hatching monsters until they do.

#Kits
Players choose a kit in the lobby by clicking its statue. Kits are locked once the game starts.
| Kit | Equipment |
|---|---|
| Knight | Diamond sword and iron armour, with healing potions. The default kit. |
| Tank | Iron sword and diamond armour, with extra health but slower movement. |
| Archer | Bow with 256 arrows, leather armour and extra speed. |
| Chemist | Splash potions of harming, poison and healing, chainmail armour and extra speed. |
| Oddjob | TNT, flint and steel and netherrack, with leather armour. |
Each kit gains mastery tiers as the player gets kills with it. /arenamastery shows each kit's kills and tier.
#During a game
- Coins: every player starts with arena coins and earns more for kills, missions and bosses. Between waves,
/arenashopspends them on healing, ammunition, cooldown resets, barricades and turrets. Coins only last for one game. - Perks: at certain points the team votes on a perk with
/arenaperk 1,2or3. - Spectating: a player who goes down can still help:
/arenapingmarks a spot for the team, and/arenaboostsends a teammate regeneration and speed. - Kill effects:
/arenafxchooses the effect that plays when the player kills a monster.
#Rewards
