Forged in Blockville
Magnus the smith's storyline - 12 tiers, from a cold forge to a masterwork, ending with the Master Smith title.
Forged in Blockville is the town storyline given by Magnus, the smith at the forge. Magnus learned his craft from Old Hollis, but as a young apprentice he cracked the town bell testing a hammer and fled to the dwarven halls. When he came back, Hollis had retired up the mountain and the forge had gone cold. The player becomes his apprentice, relights the forge, mends the town's tools, digs out trapped miners and helps recast the bell - and finally forges a masterwork for Hollis in The Forge Trial to become Master Smith.

#The Forge Trial
The last tier is a timing game that only exists in this storyline. Clicking Magnus on tier 12 offers it, and he explains it once before the first part. The player is taken to the forge (other players can't see them meanwhile) and forges the three parts of the masterwork: the blade, the guard and the hilt. Each part has two steps:
- Heat: the track fills from black through red and orange to white as the metal heats. Pull it from the fire while the heat is in the green zone. Too early or too late is a miss, and the heat starts again.
- Hammer: a spark bounces along the anvil. Strike when it is on the gold slot (perfect) or right beside it (good). Five strikes per part; each part is faster than the last.
Three misses and Magnus calls it - the trial can be tried again two minutes later. Closing the forge menu ends the trial with no penalty. Finishing without a single miss pays an extra 25 Credits. Once the storyline is finished, Magnus offers the trial again for a best score (no rewards).
#The Smith's Ledger
/ledger (or the Ledger button when talking to Magnus) opens a guide to what he has taught so far: smelting ore, bricks, the blast furnace, iron and diamond tools, iron armour, the anvil, netherite ingots and the netherite upgrade. Each page shows the steps or ingredients. Pages not reached yet show as locked.
#The Cave-In
At tier 9 the old mine collapses with three miners inside. Magnus hands over a miner's kit and sends the player down. The player's own things are put away safely and come back when they climb out.
- The kit: Magnus's Pickaxe (Efficiency II), a shovel, a sword, a shield, iron armour, torches and food. Right-click the pickaxe for 3 seconds of Haste II; it can be used again after 30 seconds.
- The mine: the run starts outside in a valley, facing a cave mouth in the hillside. Stairs lead down to the first level, where one miner is trapped; a shaft with a ladder at its far end drops to a deeper level with the other two. The tunnels are a maze, different every time, with collapsed sections full of rubble to dig through. Torches can be placed; nothing else can be built.
- Finding the miners: each trapped miner taps on the rock - follow the sound, and look for dust falling from the roof. Click a miner to rescue them.
- Dangers: cracked stone sometimes hides silverfish or cave spiders, zombies wander in the dark, and now and then the mine rumbles and gravel drops from the roof.
- Time: all three miners must be out within 5 minutes. Finishing in under 2:30 earns 50 Credits.
Running out of time or falling in the mine sends the player back to Magnus to try again a minute later.
