Order Up!
Chef Basil's storyline - 12 tiers, from an empty pantry to the Final Service, ending with the Sous Chef title.
Order Up! is the town storyline given by Chef Basil Montclair, the Head Chef at the restaurant. Basil was once a star cook in the capital until a famous critic's review cost him everything; a stranger's bowl of stew brought him back to life in Blockville, and he opened the restaurant to repay the town. The player starts by running his errands, learns every dish in his kitchen and, when the critic finally comes to dinner, runs his kitchen in the Final Service. The storyline ends with the Sous Chef title.

#Starting
The storyline starts with a conversation: clicking Basil the first time plays his story, page by page, and the last Continue starts the storyline (Not now leaves it for later). Once it has started, the current step is shown in the objective bar at the top of the screen and in /quests, and a marker points to any place or townsperson the step needs.
Only everyday ingredients are needed: wheat, eggs, sugar, milk, cocoa beans, fish, meat and vegetables, plus the starter kitchen chain (flour, dough, cheese and donut bases).

Each dish Basil teaches has its own effect when eaten, listed under When eaten on the item. Cosmetic rewards are shown as a mystery until they are earned.
#The Final Service
The last tier is a cooking game that only exists in this storyline. Clicking Basil on tier 12 offers it; before the first ticket he whispers his soufflé recipe once.
- Tickets: eight tickets come in, one at a time. Each names a dish and nothing else - every dish is one Basil taught during the storyline, and the last ticket is always the critic's soufflé.
- Cooking: pick the dish's ingredients from the pantry (18 ingredients, reshuffled for every ticket, with look-alikes mixed in), put up to four on the board and ring the bell. Clicking an ingredient on the board takes it off again.
- Time: 30 seconds for the first two tickets, then 25, 20 and 30 seconds for the soufflé, shown on a bar at the top of the screen.
- Strikes: a wrong plate or a ticket that runs out of time is a strike; the ticket stays up. After three strikes Basil takes over, and the service can be tried again two minutes later.
- Leaving: closing the kitchen menu ends the service with no penalty.
- Perfect service: serving all eight without a single strike pays an extra 25 Credits.
Once Order Up! is finished, Basil offers the service again for fun. Replays pay nothing but keep a personal best time.
#Basil's Soufflé
Basil's Soufflé is a dessert that can't be crafted: it is only given by Basil at the end of the storyline. Eating one gives Regeneration II (20 seconds), Absorption II (3 minutes) and Luck (5 minutes).
